Truck tires serve a function analogous to that of a human foot, providing essential support for mobility. They are the components of the SHACMAN Tractor Truck that experience the most wear. Any errors in tire performance can lead to severe repercussions. Consequently, proper maintenance of the wheels not only extends their lifespan but also enhances driving safety.
Guidelines for the Use of SHACMAN Truck Tires
1. It is imperative to avoid selecting and mixing wheels with varying parameters such as tread pattern, specifications, speed ratings, and load capacities to maintain driving safety.
2. Ensure that the tires are inflated according to the recommended air pressure to guarantee safety.
3. Regularly check tire pressure and maintain it within acceptable limits. Insufficient air pressure can lead to increased fuel consumption and elevated tire temperatures, while excessive pressure may result in tire punctures and a reduced lifespan, posing safety hazards.
Considerations for Truck Wheel Replacement
1. Exercise caution to prevent damaging the threads on the wheel bolts during wheel replacement.
2. Avoid applying paint, grease, or other contaminants to the contact surfaces of the brake drum and rim.
3. Ensure that the contact surface of the wheel nut is clean and free from debris or oil.
4. Prior to wheel installation, clean the outer circle that aligns with the wheel positioning hole and the wheel side reduction shell.
5. All wheel nut threads are right-hand threads. When fitting the wheels, tighten the nuts in a diagonal sequence while the wheels are elevated, then lower the wheels. Apply a torque of 550-650 NM (55-65 kg) for steel rims and 610-680 NM (61-68 kg) for aluminum alloy rims.
6. After each tire reload, it is essential to retighten the tire nuts after traveling 50 km.
