- How to Connect a Semi-Trailer and Tractor Head:
- Prepare the Connection Area:
- Clean the tractor’s traction seat, the semi-trailer’s traction pin, and the pin plate from sand, dust, or foreign matter.
- Check and ensure that there is enough grease on the traction pin and seat.
- Adjust the Semi-Trailer Height:
- Use the support device to adjust the semi-trailer’s traction pin plate to match the height of the tractor’s traction seat.
- Ensure the trailer’s traction pin plate is 10–30mm lower than the tractor’s traction seat for proper alignment. Improper height can prevent connection and cause damage.
- Open the Locking Mechanism:
- Operate the locking mechanism to open the locking block on the tractor’s traction seat.
- Check that the locking block is fully released and in a free state.
- Reverse the Tractor Head:
- Slowly reverse the tractor head to align the semi-trailer’s traction pin with the V-shaped opening of the tractor’s traction seat.
- Allow the traction pin to enter the locking mechanism, causing the locking block to rotate and automatically lock the traction pin.
- Verify the Locking:
- Check that the locking mechanism has securely locked the traction pin and that the connection is safe and secure.
- Test the Connection:
- Move the tractor head slightly forward to confirm the connection is firm and secure.
